When starting Mad About Mutts Pet Supply, we used our love for animals to guide us. Specially, our bully breeds Mazzy and Dixie, Mazzy being Angela’s first rescue and Dixie being Danela’s.  Sadly, both of our angels crossed the rainbow bridge and made their way to heaven.  Of course, losing one, opens the door to many more waiting for their forever home.  Angela welcomed Bella and Lucy and Danela welcomed Britt and Vedder.  We use the word mutts proudly because breed did not stop us from rescuing our fur babies.  

However, we love ALL rescues and pure breeds equally because all pups matter and all capture our hearts.

 Now let’s talk about Mad About Mutts Pet Supply, please know any product with our label we use daily with our own babies and when used properly and consistently creates an everlasting bond.  Which in the long run, helps your fur babies and YOU!  After all, if your dog is fat, you’re not getting enough exercise.

 We all know how hard it is to find the “right leash”. We both have a collection of all the leashes that did not work either because of pulling or cutting our hand or legs with the retractable cable. So, we set out to create our own to make walks so much more enjoyable. Going through various puppy trainings it has always been recommended to use slip leashes, as they allow the handler better control and gives the dog the ability to self-correct. So, we began our journey and decided to make our own.  We wanted to use climbing rope and leather to make sure it would be durable.  We also were thinking “safety” so we added double reflectors to the leash to make sure we would be visible in those dark walks while creating more traction in the handle from the reflector material. We also wanted the capability to turn a slip leash into a leash that could be clicked onto the collar or harness. We found a light weight, yet strong carabiner to withstand 250 lbs that locks in place. It was the perfect combination. Each leash comes with the carabiner to allow for hybrid capability.  Another aspect that we seemed to complain about was regarding waste bag holders. The plastic ones would either hit the top of your hand and leave a bruise or they would come undone and the poop bags would be all over the ground rolling away. We found the best bag holder made of soft oxford cloth material with a metal zipper that keeps the bag contained while being big enough to also hold your keys.  Access to the bags from one side the Mad About Mutts Pet Supply waste bag holder makes this not only convenient but versatile with multiple uses.
